This island retreat reinterprets the traditional British gabled silhouette within the dramatic, volcanic landscape of Tenerife. The architectural challenge was to merge high-mountain aesthetics with coastal living, utilizing expansive glazing to dissolve boundaries between the warm timber interiors and the rugged outdoors. We manipulated natural light to emphasize the open-plan social spaces, ensuring a seamless flow to the pool.
